JOINS THE GOOD NEWS NETWORK

Beverly Hills, CA.,  November 18, 2006
– We are ‘pleased to report’ that the kick-off event of The Good News Foundation was a huge success!  Not only did the luncheon bring together an unprecedented gathering of LA’s top television news anchors, reporters, and producers—it also welcomed the Maloof family as the first contributors to the ‘Good News Network’—an elite Circle of individual and corporate donors who make significant contributions to The Good News Foundation. Those who make up the ‘network’ will support the Foundation and allow it to remain dedicated to its mission of making a positive and meaningful difference in the lives of people in need and at-risk in greater Los Angeles.

The Good News Foundation began this partnership by teaming up with Joe Maloof, the Chief Executive Officer of with Maloof Sports & Entertainment.  Joe was instrumental in the early planning stages of the Foundation and generously agreed to underwrite the entire kick-off event.

Next, his sister Adrienne Maloof-Nassif, known for her numerous philanthropic endeavors, offered to host the luncheon at her magnificent Beverly Hills estate. George Maloof, President of the Palms Resort Casino, contributed to this ‘winning’ partnership by providing the guests attending the luncheon with some great gifts from The Palms—including $100 commemorative casino chips.

On top of all this generosity, Phillip Maloof, President of Maloof Productions, surprised everyone in attendance at the luncheon by presenting The Good News Foundation with a donation in the amount of $50,000 dollars.  That single donation will be instrumental in the early stages of the foundation, and guarantees a great start for The Good News Foundation.
